Mill Creek Park

With 15 miles of Illinois ATV trails, this county-sponsored trail area is located in central Illinois. The larger park surrounds Mill Creek Lake, and there are beginner, intermediate and advanced trail loops throughout. Once you’re done on the ATV, you can visit the park’s picnic areas, hiking trails, boat rentals and more.

Atkinson Motorsports Park

This motorsports park is located, unsurprisingly, in Atkinson, Illinois. This popular park features miles of ATV and UTV-friendly trails. There’s over 200 acres in this park, which include riding trails, hill climbs and mud bogs. The park covers the old Peabody Coal processing facility and includes both trails and open, unrestricted riding areas.

Williams Hill Pass

Williams Hill Pass is a great place to ride and camp in southern Illinois. You can pay for a daily ride, ride while you stay in one of their rental cabins, or purchase a seasonal trail pass if you live nearby. They have tons of beginner and advanced level Illinois ATV trails to choose from. While you stay, you can hike the Shawnee National Forest or visit some of the best local fishing spots!

The Cliffs Insane Terrain Off Road Park

In Marseilles, Illinois, The Cliffs offers 300 acres of riding areas. You can take one of their trails with a few friends or join a group for a guided ATV tour. These tours are roughly one hour and include a UTV rental and helmets. There are also driving lessons provided before the tour. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced off-road rider, The Cliffs has a trail for you.

South Fork Dirt Riders

A family-owned park, South Fork Dirt Riders has simple kid-friendly trails, motocross races and huge music festivals. The park has over 400 acres of wooded trails and off-road tracks. There are campsites, restrooms, showers, picnic areas and more so you’re free to stay all day. They’re located in Taylorville, in central Illinois, and riders can purchase either a day pass or an annual membership.

Sunset Ridge Motocross Park

Sunset Ridge in Walnut, Illinois, is a family-owned and family-oriented motocross park. They have a large track where they host motocross races and other promotional events. Additionally, they offer camping, a country store and a full concession stands. If you wish to host a private event, you can rent out the entire track for your own use!

Fox Valley Off Road

This off-road park has some of the best Illinois ATV trails for kids. They have a pee-wee track for children and spaces dedicated solely to beginner riders. For those more experienced, you can ride the unmarked trails or race along the supercross track. The terrain is heavily woods and rocky creek beds, and Fox Valley Off Road even offers rentals. We highly recommend this park to families and beginners.

Little Egypt Off Road Park

Little Egypt Off Road is located just east of Marion, Illinois, and has tracks for dirt bikes, ATVs and side by sides. They have roughly 900 acres of terrain and more than 50 miles of open trails to check out. Kids are welcome to the kids track, and experienced riders on the motocross track. Stay and camp or visit the club store for a T-shirt or bike and four-wheeler replacement parts.

Brushy Ridge Motorsports

The last on our list of Illinois ATV trails is Brushy Ridge, although this is by no means the last place to ride in the state. The Brushy Ridge track and trails have been welcoming ATV, UTV and dirt bike riders since 1979! They have a wide variety of trails for every machine and every experience level. The park is about 320 acres and has over 20 miles of hilly trails. Whether you prefer to ride over rocks, sand or mud, this park has a trail for you!
